Non-residential Structure Arson, Forest Law Violation, House Invasion, and Theft Case (Reiwa 6 (Wa) No. 74)

In April 2024, a man carried out a series of crimes in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, Japan. Before the arson, he unlawfully entered a nearby residential property and stole personal belongings. The case was prosecuted as Reiwa 6 (Wa) No. 74 at the Akita District Court. The defendant faced charges of arson of a non-residential building, forest law violation, house invasion, and theft. The court found the defendant guilty on all counts and sentenced him to 4 years in prison.
