Dust and Blood

In a fictional Chinese city during the harsh winter of 1978, a young detective investigates a brutal triple murder in a squalid shantytown. Expecting a simple crime of passion, he instead uncovers a web of survival-driven betrayals, institutional indifference, and collective moral collapse. When the killer is brought to justice, the detective is left with a hollow victory—the world has not become better, only more naked in its cruelty.
