Novel Summary
In the decaying port city of Brestova, former crime reporter Máximo Soler drowns his failures in rum and old jazz. When a retired engineer is electrocuted inside a substation that should have been dead, Soler stumbles into a chain of invisible murders carried out through the city’s power and water systems. The trail leads to a faceless hacker collective, a Supreme Court ruling that dismantled infrastructure oversight, and a private consortium that has learned to weaponize anonymity itself. As Soler digs deeper, he is forced to confront his own buried guilt and the terrifying truth that behind every screen, anyone can become an executioner.
