In the fictional nation of Veridia, a forbidden intercommunity marriage in the village of Dantala is met with a brutal social boycott, which the local police dismiss as a mere "other case." Years later, a figure known as Zero begins live-streaming elaborate executions, feeding the world's voyeuristic hunger while mocking the impotent authorities. Detective Elara Vane must decode the digital carnage only to discover it is rooted in a forgotten file and a child who was never seen.
