In the fictional East Asian nation of Towa, a seemingly routine administrative appeal over a park occupation permit spirals into a nightmare. Attorney Miharu Maeda uncovers that the government's denial was a cover-up for the Okura conglomerate's private island, Seiran, where impoverished women from across the continent are enslaved as surrogate mothers. The story follows the survivors' desperate revolt and the subsequent legal battle, painting a harrowing portrait of souls forever lacerated by exploitation. Inspired by Robert Bryndza's character-driven suspense, each survivor carries an unhealable wound, yet in the aftermath, they seek a fragile new beginning by the sea.
