Trap of Hollow Pity

In the decaying rust belt, a reclusive old man discovers a break-in and, drawing on a family manuscript about the Tang Dynasty execution of the rebel Han Cheng, transforms his apartment into a labyrinth of homemade, visceral traps, exposing a community whose sympathy without systemic change is nothing but self-serving performance.
