Fingerprints on the Verdict

In the fictional republic of Westhaven, archival historian Dr. Elias Crane uncovers secret court records from a decades-old copyright battle between tech giant OmniCorp and a small research firm, revealing that the trial was a cover for the state's role in a mass grave excavation. When Crane prepares to publish his findings, he is systematically isolated and found dead in an apparent suicide. Investigative journalist Lena Sarto, Crane's estranged daughter, retraces his steps and discovers a chain of bystanders who each held a fragment of the truth but chose silence, making them all complicit fingerprints on the murder weapon.
