The Atonement Scheme

Obsessed with the execution of a Tang Dynasty magistrate for corruption, a brilliant but invisible Chinese-American man discovers a modern reincarnation of the same greed: a global religious charity washing billions. Adopting a new identity, he infiltrates the sanctuary of saints, driven by a toxic hunger for significance. As he maps the holy criminal network, the line between exposing sin and becoming it dissolves. In a world where wealth is the only absolution, his transformation becomes a chilling testament to how society's warped definition of success breeds brilliant monsters.
