Operation Octopus Cyber Fraud Case in Hyderabad

In 2025, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police launched "Operation Octopus," dismantling a large-scale online fraud syndicate. The group operated fake cryptocurrency investment platforms, using social media to promise high returns and defrauding over 15,000 victims across India and abroad of an estimated 5 billion rupees.
