Deafening Absolution

In the aftermath of a catastrophic bombing in the fictional city of Tiehua, disgraced ex-detective Shen Weiping loses his deaf daughter. When the deaf suspect walks free due to an insanity defense, Shen kidnaps him to stage a private trial. As he forces a confession through sign language, he discovers that the only path to redemption is self-forgiveness — the most impossible sentence of all.
