Shadows of the Carnival

In the gaslit streets of Carnelia, Eldoria, the annual Carnival of the Lost Saint descends into a mass poisoning orchestrated by a collective of ordinary citizens. When struggling painter Elias Thorne is wrongly convicted as a co-conspirator simply for sketching their masks, a legal battle over joint responsibility echoes through the High Court. Acquitted under a ruling that one cannot forfeit what one never possessed, Elias embarks on a forbidden project: criminal profiles of each participant, each a brushstroke attempting to outline the shadow of God that humanity has lost.
